- Quality & Testing
Every set tested. Every batch documented.
Quality at DryLink is not a certificate on the wall — it is a leak value, a particle count and a cycle record for the batch you are holding. Couplings are released piece by piece: 100% of sets pass vacuum-decay leak testing, helium verification runs on leak-critical batches, cleanliness is held to ISO 4406 18/16/13, and the compiled report ships inside the carton.

Piece by piece, not sample by sample.
On a fitting that sits upstream of $9,000-per-minute downtime, sampling statistics answer the wrong question. So the release gate is 100%: every DryLink set passes vacuum-decay leak testing at under 1×10⁻⁴ mbar·L/s before marking. Helium mass-spectrometry verification runs on leak-critical batches — our benches resolve down to 5×10⁻¹² mbar·l/s — against a production acceptance order of about 1.4×10⁻⁶ atm·cc/s.
- 100% — sets leak-tested before packing, serial range recorded
- 5×10⁻¹² mbar·l/s — detector-class sensitivity behind the helium benches
- ISO 4406 18/16/13 — particle-count release target on every batch
Six gates from bar stock to sealed carton.
Each gate produces a named record, and the batch report you receive is compiled from these six — so your incoming inspection can trace any carton back to its numbers without emailing us once.
IQC — bar stock & seals
316L and brass arrive with mill certificates; seal compound lots are hardness-checked and fluid-soak sampled before release to the cell. A lot without traceable paperwork is quarantined, not negotiated.
FAI — first article
Dimensions are verified on a CMM against the drawing before a batch runs — valve seats ground to the ±0.01 mm sealing tolerance carry a full first-article record. Your part number revision is what the record is filed against.
IPQC — in-process
Assembly runs torque-controlled on calibrated stations, traceable by serial range. Red-hot and blue-cold coding is verified against the OCP colour convention so loop-side mistakes never start at the fitting.
100% leak gate
Every set passes vacuum-decay leak testing at under 1×10⁻⁴ mbar·L/s. Failures are quarantined with their serial — they are scrapped, never reworked back into the batch.
Batch verification
Helium verification at roughly 1.4×10⁻⁶ atm·cc/s acceptance, 5000 mate-cycle durability on batch samples — the OCP floor — and a 72 h glycol soak at the -40 to +120°C class endpoints.
OQC & packing
Cleanliness is confirmed to ISO 4406 18/16/13 and coated parts see 48 h neutral salt spray per ISO 9227. The compiled batch report goes into the carton before it is sealed — ask for a sample with your quotation.
The report is not on request — it is in the box.
Every order ships with a document pack tied to your serial range, so the paper trail arrives with the parts instead of three emails behind them.

Systems and regulations, stated as they are.
We publish the framework rather than framed certificates: the quality system, the chemical regulations and the test standards by name, each mapped to what it governs in a UQD coupling. The declaration pack is available with any quotation.
| Framework | What it governs | How it applies at DryLink |
|---|---|---|
| ISO 9001 QMS | quality management system | documented control of machining, assembly and test from IQC through OQC |
| RoHS (2011/65/EU) | hazardous substances in EEE-related parts | machined copper alloys fall under the lead-in-copper exemption 6(c) — up to 4% lead permitted; our procurement practice holds brass at ≤2.2% |
| REACH (EC 1907/2006) | substance registration & SVHC | SVHC content above 0.1% w/w triggers Article 33 supply-chain communication; parts ship with a declaration of compliance |
| ISO 4406:2021 | fluid cleanliness codes | release target 18/16/13 — ≥4 µm: 1300–2500, ≥6 µm: 320–640, ≥14 µm: 40–80 particles/mL |
| ISO 9227 | neutral salt spray | 48 h NSS verification on plated and coated surfaces |
| OCP UQD Rev 1.0 | interface standard | 100 psi working / 300 psi burst floor, 5000 mate cycles, spill budget 0.020–0.070 ml by size |
| Helium leak verification | leak testing | detector-class benches to 5×10⁻¹² mbar·l/s; production acceptance ~1.4×10⁻⁶ atm·cc/s |
| IEC 62368-1 Annex G.15 | coolant safety class | EPDM seal compounds qualified for water-glycol coolants such as DOWFROST LC 25 and JEFFCOOL ISF-25 |
| Mill certification | raw material traceability | 316L and brass bar stock with heat-lot mill certificates, filed per batch |
| FAI / CMM records | dimensional evidence | first-article inspection records retained per part number and drawing revision |
