UQD is an open standard, not a proprietary fitting: the OCP published Rev 1.0 in September 2020 with contributions from Intel, LBNL, Stäubli, Parker Hannifin, CPC, Fujikura and AVIC Jonhon. Any compliant socket — ours included — accepts any compliant plug, which is why the same manifold can serve cold plates from different server vendors across the life of a rack.
The ecosystem keeps converging on that interchange: Intel now convenes a cross-vendor interchangeability consortium to standardize UQD mating durability between brands, and Stäubli, Parker, CEJN and Danfoss all publish OCP-compliant UQD and UQDB product lines. DryLink sets are gauged against the same Rev 1.0 envelope before packing, and the interface gauge check record ships with each batch.
