UQ04 Hand-Push Quick Disconnect Sets

The 1/4-inch (dash-04) tier of the OCP UQD standard for cold plates, switch boards and service loops: Cv 0.80 minimum, 1.7 GPM rated flow, and a spill budget of 0.025 ml per disconnect at the OCP limit — in a one-hand, push-to-mate package.

The left card is the audit table any dash-04 purchase order is checked against; the right card is how DryLink meets it, part by part.

How DryLink builds it

Valve seats ground to ±0.01 mm on the same cell that machines our manifolds, and every piece helium-tested before a matched set is boxed.

Cold-Plate Service

One hand, one second, zero drip.

Cold plates live on 1U pitch — a 44.45 mm height envelope — and get swapped far more often than anyone schedules. A hand-push UQ04 mates and releases inside that envelope with a gloved hand: no tools, no drain-down, and both valves close before the plug clears the socket, so the tray below stays dry through thousands of service cycles.

  • 44.45 mm — 1U pitch envelope the set is designed within
  • ≤ 0.025 ml — spill budget per disconnect, dash-04 OCP limit
  • 5000× — rated mate cycles before rebuild review
OCP Floors

Three numbers govern the dash-04 class.

Everything else is negotiation; these are the specification. If a datasheet will not print all three, keep shopping.

FAQ

UQ04 questions we answer daily.

UQ04 or UQDB — which do I need?
If a person swaps the hardware by hand, hand-push UQ04 is the service-friendly choice. If trays or blades mate into a fixed plane inside the rack, blind-mate UQDB removes the human from the loop. Both share the OCP UQD envelope, so a UQDB04 port and a UQ04 port can sit on the same rack manifold.
Can I run UQ04 above 100 psi?
No — 100 psi working with 300 psi burst are the OCP class ratings. Rack loops planned at 1.2 L/min per kW against an 18 psi rack budget sit far below them. For genuinely higher-pressure circuits, send the loop ΔP calculation and we will review a non-OCP coupling option before quoting.
Which hose and thread sizes does the set take?
Plug ends are ORB per ISO 11926-3, so they thread into standard board manifolds. Socket ends are barbed for 1/4" to 5/8" reinforced EPDM hose, clamped per the OCP specification examples — no proprietary ferrules.
Which seal compound for glycol loops?
EPDM is the default for water/glycol from -40 to +120 °C. Choose FKM for -15…+200 °C warm-process loops or FVMQ down to -55…+155 °C cold starts. Compounds are qualified against DOWFROST LC 25 and JEFFCOOL ISF-25 class coolants.
