Cell spread is the KPI

Same couplings. A different acceptance test.

What a 5 °C spread costs

Spread · penalty · working window

Cell to cell 5 °C spread across a pack

Enough of a spread to matter on its own. industry benchmark

Pack penalty 10–15% performance lost

Performance lost at that spread, before any humidity or ageing effect. industry benchmark

Working window 15–35 °C ideal band

The band the thermal design is trying to hold the cells inside. industry benchmark

Uniformity is the acceptance KPI, not pressure and not flow.

What a liquid-cooled design can hold

Cell spread

A 6.25 MWh liquid-cooled container example is documented at or below a 4 °C cell spread. industry benchmark

Cycle life

6,000+ cycles in the same published example: the number the spread is bought with. industry benchmark

Mechanism

Balanced branches. An unbalanced branch is what a spread looks like before anyone measures it, which is why balancing is verified at commissioning rather than assumed at design.

A market that is still climbing

Design-ins now lock multi-year supply. The agreements behind that curve are pipeline-sized, and they are placed before the first cabinet ships.

Where uniformity is decided: the branch

Supply · return · cabinet isolation

Manifolds

Distribution and collection sized so the branches stay equal: the parts that decide whether the spread is a design number or a commissioning surprise.

Service couplings

Dry-break maintenance couplings: a cabinet is isolated at its own loop, without draining the hall. Dry-break selection and the loop chemistry follow the test discipline on the quality page.

Default route

Liquid cooling is the default thermal route for new storage builds, on 2025 industry reporting. industry-published benchmark

The discipline behind it, and the parts it shares

Cleanliness · acceptance KPI · spares

Cleanliness The cleaning and leak-test gates are the ones the data centre line runs: the same gates, not a lighter set for a different industry.
Acceptance KPI The spread is the acceptance number. Pressure and flow are design inputs; they are not what the customer signs off.
Spares Shared part numbers across the two industries, so a site keeps one spares list instead of two. The same parts serve the data centre route.

One blind-mate family, four pairs in ascending size: the same couplings specified on rack-side work, held here against a cabinet-sized loop. Sizes and terminations are on the blind-mate page and the UQD page.

Cabinet and container loops are built as a BOM against the drawings you already have. The project support page covers how that is staged. For branch-balanced headers, start with the horizontal manifold page.
