UQD02–08 · second-source programmes
Second source, same test gate
Spec-first components for CDU and liquid cooling programmes.

Three gates · before any market number
Gate 1 · ΔP
25–150%
pressure drop measured across that share of rated flow, at documented flow points rather than at one point. industry-published benchmark
Gate 2 · cross-mating
Interchange
plugs and sockets of a second source have to mate with parts already in service. That interchange is the precondition, not the bonus.
Gate 3 · reports
Clause map
the report is mapped to specification clauses one by one. A single pass mark on the cover is not a result.
Looks identical, fails the test. That is the risk a second-source programme is set up to close. And the reason this screen comes before the market story.
The shape of the market
Two published views · kept separate
Two research houses, two shapes of one curve. Plan capacity against the band, not against a single point.
Supply
UQD supply is concentrated in the hands of a few suppliers. That concentration is where the interchange requirement comes from, not from us. industry-published benchmark
A second source is judged on the parts it can put beside the first source's parts: same size family, same bore ladder, same interface.
Who carries the fluid risk
Reference fluids · compound level · change control
Spec reference fluids
DOWFROST LC 25 and JEFFCOOL ISF-25, the two inhibited propylene-glycol reference fluids named in the specification, of the PG25 class. They are named in the standard as its compatibility baseline; naming them here is a technical reference, not a partnership. per the OCP UQD specification
Seal compound level
Compatibility is verified compound by compound: EPDM, FFKM and the rest. It is not asserted for a material family as a whole. industry practice
Change control
Replacing a seal compound requires the compatibility work to be redone and the file updated. A swap without that re-verification is not offered. process capability
Fluid compatibility is a programme, not a statement about a material. Ask for it by compound and by fluid, and keep the answer on file with the batch.
What a programme receives
Curve data · traceability · cross-mating · benchmark
Cv / ΔP curve
Documented curve data at the flow points, so the selection and the flow budget are read off the same sheet. industry practice
Lot traceability
Traceability at batch level, so a programme audit can be answered at your site rather than in a summary. process capability
Cross-mating
Cross-mating test records travel with the batch they belong to. process capability
Benchmark discipline
The top of this market helium-tests every coupling and publishes a flow figure 25% above the OCP community standard. It is quoted here as the bar, not as our number. industry benchmark
Files for the destination market
Per market · version watch · pack contents
Qualification files are read by two different departments, engineering and sourcing. The pack is built to answer both without a second round of questions.

Tell us which of the three gates your qualification starts with and we return the matching pack. Capacity planning here is done against the 19.0% CAGR curve (industry-published benchmark), not against a single published point.
